Yesterday ESPN’s Bret McMurphy reported Texas Tech and Arizona had agreed to a home and home series, and today he’s back at it. According to Brett, TCU and Colorado have agreed to play a home-and-home series starting in 2022.
The two schools have never played each other, but if the two were to play today it probably wouldn’t be all that close. TCU won 12 games last season, and tied Baylor at the top of the conference. Colorado on the other hand has only won four conference games total since leaving the Big 12 for the Pac-12 in 2011. A lot can happen in seven years though.
The series is just the latest of several non-conference games against power five conference opponents for the Horned Frogs. TCU already has home-and-home games scheduled with Minnesota, Arkansas, Ohio State, and California. One thing is for sure, the Frogs aren’t afraid to play anybody.
