Sooner RB Keith Ford Indefinitely Suspended
The Oklahoma Sooners have indefinitely suspended running back Keith Ford, and removed him from the roster.
Oklahoma Head Coach Bob Stoops confirmed today that running back Keith Ford has been indefinitely suspended from the team. The reason given was for “violating academic and team rules”.

In 2013 Keith had 23 carries as a true freshman. In 2014 he was Oklahoma’s third leading rusher with 71 carries, 392 yards, and five touchdowns. As of Monday though, Keith’s name no longer appears on the roster on soonersports.com.
If the Sooners can afford to lose depth at a position, it’s running back. They have five backs on the roster, including their top two leading rushers from last season. Samaje Perine will continue to be the workhorse coming off an incredible record-setting freshman performance, and Alex Ross is returning as a redshirt junior. Joe Mixon, a 5-star recruit out of California, will also make his debut with the Sooners after returning from a season-long suspension last year.
