Texas CB Sheroid Evans Out For The Rest Of Spring Practice
The Texas Longhorn secondary depth took a hit as it’s being reported that CB Sheroid Evans will miss the rest of spring practice with a knee injury.
On Wednesday Orangebloods.com first reported that corner Sheroid Evans will miss the rest of spring practice due to a knee injury. The Longhorns football Twitter account later confirmed the injury.

Texas has been going in full pads as of late, but the injury reportedly happened on a non-contact play. No other information was given as to the severity of the injury, other than Evans will be further evaluated after the spring.
Known for his speed, Evans was a highly touted 4-star recruit out of Sugar Land, TX in 2011. However, injury has kept the senior off the field before. In October of 2013 he suffered an ACL injury, and missed the rest of the season.
After being redshirted last season, the senior is expected to give the corner position some much-needed depth. Outside of Evans, the Longhorns are fairly young at corner. Sophomore Antwuan Davis and redshirt freshman John Bonney will have to pick up the slack along with junior Bryson Echols; the only back on the roster with a start.
