TCU QB Trevone Boykin Underwent Surgery On Left Wrist
TCU star quarterback, Trevone Boykin, underwent surgery to his left wrist on Thursday. Just how long will the Big 12’s top QB be out?
David Ubben with Fox Sports reported that TCU QB Trevone Boykin underwent a successful surgery on his left wrist on Thursday. He isn’t expected to be out for too long though.

“Everything is great,” Head Coach Gary Patterson told FOX Sports Southwest. “Minor surgery so no worries.”
It’s been known for a little while that Boykin would need the surgery after suffering an injury during last season. He played through the injury as TCU split the Big 12 Championship with Baylor. In February Head Coach Gary Patterson told reporters he planned to have Boykin practice most of the spring, but would be held out of the final week, including the spring game.
Last season Boykin racked up 3901 passing yards, threw for 33 touchdowns, and only gave up 10 picks. He was the Big 12’s leading passer, and he’s the only QB in the top four last season that’s returning. It’s safe to say he’ll go into the fall as the top QB in the conference.
