Miami released Crawford from his scholarship in February after Crawford voiced his displeasure with the team on Twitter, and announced he would be transferring from the program.
Crawford is listed at 5′ 11″, 190 lbs, and was a three-star member of the Hurricanes’ 2012 class. He only had two starts with the Canes, but was considered the team’s top nickel corner. He’ll be forced to sit out the 2015 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules, but will provide even more depth to a loaded Mountaineer secondary in 2016 with two years of eligibility remaining.
