Welp. No sooner than we posted about offensive lineman Tyler Tezeno transferring from West Virginia, and WVSports.com is reporting that two more players are leaving the program as well. Redshirt senior cornerback Jaylon Myers and redshirt sophomore safety Malik Greaves are on their way out.
A JUCO transfer out of Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, Myers came to West Virginia as part of the 2014 recruiting class. He played in eleven games last season, and was expected to give the Mountaineers some depth again this year behind Daryl Worley and Terrell Chestnut.
Greaves, a three-star member of WVU’s 2013 class out of Jacksonville, Florida, battled injuries last season that limited his playing time, but like Myers, he was expected to provide depth to the secondary behind starting safety Karl Joseph.
West Virginia has a lot of talent in the secondary, but the loss both players will definitely impact depth. There’s no word yet on where either player may end up.
