Two-star JUCO transfer Antwan Hadley out of Butler Community College in Kansas was expected to give Oklahoma State some added depth in the defensive backfield this season, but it looks like he won’t be making it down to Stillwater after all. As reported by the Tulsa World, it was discovered that he doesn’t have enough credits to transfer. Hadley told the world it was “basically a misunderstanding”.
“It’s nothing I can keep my head down about,” Hadley told the Tulsa World.
If Butler Community College sounds familiar to Poke fans. It’s because four-star JUCO running back Chris Carson, and one of the highlights of the 2015 class, comes from the same school. He was a huge late pick up for coach Gundy and staff. In fact, Hadley was almost the third guy to transfer from Butler to the Pokes this season after Matt Kellerman also committed to OSU, but he left in February.
The reported issue with the credits was realized back in May, and since then Hadley’s been exploring his options. There’s no official word on where he’ll end up, but he could be leaning towards Nebraska-Kearney in well, Nebraska and Pittsburgh State in Kansas.
