After an impressive 2014 campaign, TCU’s Trevone Boykin is hands down the Big 12’s top QB heading into 2015. According to updated odds though, he may just be the most valuable football player in the country. According to online sportsbook Bovada, Boykin is now the betting favorite for the Heisman.
In 2014 there wasn’t much stopping Boykin. He amassed 3,901 passing yards and 33 touchdowns en route to leading the Horned Frogs to a 12-1 record, and claimed a share of the Big 12 title.
This season, TCU will have plenty of returning offensive talent to further showcase Boykin’s talent. Four returning starters on the offensive line will ensure his jersey rarely gets dirty, receivers Josh Doctson, Kolby Listenbee, and Deante’ Gray pose a constant big-play threat, and Aaron Green, along with a stable of running backs, will keep opposing defenses honest.
