[dropcap]R[/dropcap]ight now everyone is full of hope about what 2015 could bring for their team. Much of the Big 12 looks to be improved from last year, but we all know there’s only so many wins to go around. Unfortunately we’re still several weeks away from watching any actual football, let alone knowing how everyone will finish. We’re impatient though, so we thought why not play out the season ourselves, and see how it turns out.
Let’s get started! Will anyone fall victim to a slow start? Can the Big 12 avoid anymore embarrassing losses to FCS schools? Let’s find out!
Oklahoma State at Central Michigan
Date: Thursday, September 3rd
Where: Mount Pleasant, MI
Those poor, poor Chippewas. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are going to walk into Kelly-Shorts stadium beat the hell out of them, then burn the crops and poison the well on their way out of town. Its going to be the kind of thing you don’t want young children to see. OSU is an up and coming team in the Big 12. Many, myself included, have them in the top 3 or 4 in the league.
Mason Rudolph is a big reason for that. His emergence at the end of last season was remarkable. He started the last 3 games and set the world ablaze, averaging an eye-popping 9.91 yards per attempt. OK State also returns most of its receiving corps. This could be a super high-flying attack. They will get their start in a strange road game to start the season. This game could be played on Mars, the result would not change. Central Michigan is nothing but a bug on the windshield for the 2015 Pokes.
Projected Winner: Oklahoma State
Up Next: TCU at Minnesota
