[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e continue on with our season preview with week two. Week one didn’t go exactly as planned for a few Big 12 teams. Texas, Iowa State, and Kansas all took a loss.
Texas should be able to turn things around pretty quickly against Rice, but Iowa State has Iowa coming to town as Paul Rhoads tries to put the flames out under his seat. And Kansas, can they win a game this year?
As for everyone else, the Big 12 non-conference is pretty light this year, but Oklahoma faces their first test of the season.
Lamar at Baylor
Date: Saturday, September 12th
Where: Waco, TX
The last time these two teams met Lamar beat Baylor 18-17. That was in 1981 though, and this isn’t your grandpa’s Bears team. The outcome in 2015 will be quite a bit different.
Will Baylor score 90? That’s a serious question. The Bears have CFB Playoff aspirations, and head coach Art Briles isn’t exactly known for taking his foot off the gas even when he doesn’t have to impress.
Lamar has a fairly decent offense (as far as FCS teams go) so be surprised if they get on the scoreboard. However, getting on the scoreboard is where their aspirations for this game begin and end.
