[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he patty-caking and tap dancing subside as Big 12 play takes over the plains. This is where the rubber meets the road. The cream rises to the top and the pretenders get exposed. It is a beautiful thing. Here is how our in-house hack thinks week five goes down.

If you missed weeks 1-4, you can catch those here.

Kansas State at Oklahoma State

Date: Saturday, October 3rd, 2015
Where: Manhattan, KS

Last year, in the midst of their five game mid-season free fall, the Cowboys got slapped around in Manhattan 48-14. KSU scored 45 straight points in that thumping. It had to be painful for Poke fans.

There will be some semblance of revenge October 3rd in Stillwater. Oklahoma State will soundly and securely win this ballgame. Mason Rudolph, Chris Carson, Brandon Sheperd, and company will light up the scoreboard against a KSU defense that ranked last in the league in completion percentage in 2014. Defensively, the Pokes will stifle an inexperienced and untested KSU offense. Furthermore, the home team is 8-1 all time in this series. That only adds credence to the fact that OK State wins this game. Perhaps it wont be the beat down that last year was, but expect OSU to win handily.
