The Mountaineers added a little more depth to their already deep secondary yesterday. It appears that Rasul Douglas has met the necessary academic requirements to join the Mountaineers, and the NCAA has cleared him to play.

Any time you can add an All-American JUCO transfer, it’s a good day. Last season, while at Nassau Community College in New York, he recorded 43 tackles, 15 pass deflections, and picked the ball off twice.

Unfortunately the consensus 4-star corner has already missed preseason fall camp, so he’s behind the 8-ball so to speak. He shouldn’t have much of a problem finding his way into the rotation this season though, and hey, better late than never.
