Cozart and Kansas capitalized on a couple of early mistakes by the Memphis Tigers, resulting in a 10-0 lead, but it was all downhill after that. Montell was sporadic the rest of the afternoon completing only 13 of 28 passes on the day. Cozart won the starting job after Michael Cummings tore his ACL in the spring, but who knows if he’ll keep it. Kansas head coach David Beaty said after the game, “No one is entrenched at any position, ever.”
