Week four did not disappoint. TCU and Oklahoma State won in spectacular fashion, and maybe it’s time to start taking West Virginia seriously. While there are still many question marks around the Big 12 one thing is for certain; ranking the quarterbacks on a weekly basis won’t be getting any easier.

Heard and the Texas offense just couldn’t get anything going against another impressive defensive showing by the Pokes. Clearly the Cowboys wanted to get pressure on the freshman and they succeeded dragging heard to the turf a brutal seven times. Heard’s inability to spark the offense not only brings concern back to Austin but it also brought Tyrone Swoopes back under center for a few plays. Swoopes actually accounted for the offense’s only touchdown which came on the ground. Set aside the rumors of conspiring officials that started swirling around Austin on Saturday night because ‘Horns fans have plenty more to worry about. Specifically, finding some consistency at quarterback because Heard has seen his share of up and downs. This week was definitely a down.
