Is there a team more snake bit than the Horned Frogs? The amount of season-ending injuries the they’ve suffered is almost unfathomable. Unfortunately for TCU, they’ve lost yet another player. Junior WR Ty Slanina broke his collarbone last Saturday against Texas Tech.
Head Coach Gary Patterson confirmed the news in his press conference earlier this week. Slanina underwent surgery on Monday to repair the break bringing an early end to his 2015 season.
Slanina is a big part of the Horned Frogs passing attack as he played in all 13 games last season including 12 starts. He finishes this season with 11 catches for 134 yards.
In order to make up the loss in production it’s expected that Jarrison Stewart will move up the depth chart. Stewart, a freshman, has already seen the field in three games this season and has caught eight passes for 115 yards.
