Are you a student at the University of Kansas? Can you throw a ball? Head coach David Beaty might want to speak with you. The Jayhawks are now down to their 4th-string QB after Montell Cozart has been ruled out indefinitely following a shoulder strain.
Bad news outta Lawrence. QB Montell Cozart out indefinitely w/ a shoulder strain. His backup, Deondre Ford, out for season w/ thumb injury

Cozart took over the reins after projected starter Michael Cummings suffered a severe knee injury in the spring. So the injury to Cozart means Kansas has to go down to their 3rd string QB, expect he’s out for the season too.
Third string QB Deondre Ford filled in for Cozart against Rutgers, but injured his thumb during the game. He’s since been ruled out for the season. Instead of go to their fourth string QB against the Scarlet Knights, Cozart came into the game despite suffering flu-like symptoms.
Now it looks like David Beaty has no other choice but to play the fourth string QB. Freshman Ryan Willis. Willis has received some limit minutes this season in which he has gone 8 for 18 for 100 yards passing.
Willis’ starting debut will be about as hard as it gets with Baylor coming to Lawrence. This game was already looking ugly, but hey, If K-State can play with a wide receiver at QB and take OSU to the wire, maybe the Jayhawks have a chance.
No, no they don’t.
