The Sooners are looking to avoid back-to-back upsets, but today’s game against K-State hasn’t kicked off yet, and it’s already off to a bad start. The Sooners were supposed to leave Oklahoma City Friday afternoon, but 8.5 hours and four planes later, they didn’t arrive in Manhattan until 12:30am.

OKC-KWTV Sports Director Dean Blevins flew with the team, and Tweeted about the ordeal as it unfolded.

Surprisingly, the first mention of any issue is after the team is already six hours behind schedule. I cannot say I would have had the same patience.

Okay, that sucks they had to wait so long, but at least the players were allowed to stretch their legs, and a back up plane is on the way.

Or is it…

You have to be kidding.  At this point I’m just amazed Dean’s tweets are still PG-rated.

But at least they now have a plane in Houston, and it’s on its way.

Wait what? The broken plane now passed inspection? Ya, where’s my car keys? I’ll just meet you all there.

Somehow I think, “not happy campers” is an understatement.

They’re on the fourth plane for one flight?!?!?! Nope, nope, nope, I’m out.

The fourth plane finally shows up around 11:00 pm, AND THEY GOT ON IT!!!!

Phew, they made it safe and sound, and ended up getting to into their rooms around 1:00 am.

Hopefully for the Sooner’s sake this isn’t an omen of things to come. The fans won’t care about problems with the plane. Come this afternoon, it will only be about how they get off the bus.
