The Sooners announced via social media that they will be wearing their all-cream version of the Rough Rider alternate kits against the Jayhawks on Saturday; as Kansas celebrates their homecoming.
Dressing up for Halloween?

When visiting someone else’s house on Halloween it’s customary for one to ask for a small treat before leveling the threat of a trick, but Oklahoma won’t be offering any such pardon to the Jayhawks.
Last season against Kansas running back Samaje Perine set the NCAA single-game rushing record with 427 yards on the ground. He hasn’t been nearly as productive this year in Lincoln Riley’s new system, but seemed to find his fit last weekend against Texas Tech. Perine will look to carry that momentum over as the Jayhawks rank a dismal 118th in rush defense this season.
With or without a big day from Perine though, the outcome of this game is all but decided. Kansas is just waiting for the season to end as they look ahead to basketball, while the Sooners control their own destiny. They can’t afford another loss after dropping the game to the Longhorns though, and wearing an alternate uniform is one way to make sure the players are excited to hit the field for a game they might otherwise overlook.
This will be the second time this season the Sooners have donned their alternate kits. They wore the crimson helmet, crimson jersey, and cream pant combination against West Virginia in a game they won 44-24.
