Oklahoma State has just two teams standing in their way to finish out the regular season undefeated, but as they prepare for big tests in Baylor and Oklahoma, they’re running back depth has taken a hit.
Head coach Mike Gundy confirmed during his Monday press conference that Todd Mays has left Stillwater to head back home to Mississippi.
Gundy says Todd Mays is no longer with the team. Went home to Mississippi. "Never really got comfortable, and then he was injured." #okstate

Mays came to Oklahoma State as a junior college transfer out of two-time national champion East Mississippi, and received heavy praise during the offseason as one of the most under-the-radar Big 12 players headed into the season. However an injury in September hampered him just a bit, and he never ended up seeing the field.
The loss won’t hurt the Cowboys much. Fellow JUCO transfer Chris Carson and returning back Rennie Childs have carried much of the load so far this season, while freshman Jeff Carr and walk-on K-State transfer Raymond Taylor have come on as of late.
