Oklahoma kicks off spring practice this weekend, which means we get an update on how winter workouts went, position changes, potential depth chart battles, and more. Coach Stoops addressed that and more with the media on Thursday.
The Sooners are dealing with a few injuries, and Stoops confirmed that Stanvon Taylor, Samaje Perine, Alex Dalton and Jordan Evans will either be limited, or miss spring practice as they recover.
Stoops could only think of one position change, but it’s one we already knew about: Dwayne Orso is moving from defensive tackle to offensive tackle for 2016.
Also talked about was the addition of Steve Spurrier Jr as the Director of High School Recruiting, and you’ll want to pay attention to the corner back position as Zach Sanchez has some competition behind him.
The biggest take-a-way is that while football seems forever away, the start of spring practice reminds us that it is coming, and there’s plenty to look forward to as we wait!
