Westgate Las Vegas Superbook has updated their early odds for the 2016 Heisman Trophy Award winner, and several Big 12 players made the cut.
Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield leads the Big 12 with 10/1 odds while other Big 12 players named are Baylor QB Seth Russell (12/1), Oklahoma RB Samaje Perine (20/1), Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes (30/1) and Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph (50/1).
Not surprisingly, topping the early odds are last season’s frontrunners, but somewhat surprising is last year’s winner, Stanford RB Christian McCafrey, is third on the list at 6/1 odds; behind Clemson QB Deshaun Watson (5/1) and LSU RB Leonard Fournette (6/1).
What do you think? Will one of the front-runners bring home the Heisman hardware this December, or would you put your money on someone from outside the top four?
