Ranking Big 12 Uniforms In Week 3

We’re ranking the Big 12 uniforms worn in week 3.

With several schools around the conference wearing different uniform combination from week to week, we decided to start ranking who’s wearing it best. I don’t anticipate any disagreement, but if you would rank it different, let us know in the comments. We’ll take it under consideration when ranking the best uniform at the end of the season. Anyway, let’s get into this.

9. Baylor Bears
(White – White – Black)

All black below the waist, no black above. It’s a uniform with an identity crisis. Like last week, I’d really like to see this with dark green instead of black.

8. Iowa State Cyclones
(Cardinal – White – Cardinal)

Last week the Cyclones came in fourth in the uni rankings with their new helmet and all-whites. This week it was back to their traditional away uniform, and while it is a decent enough look, it’s just not one of my favorites.

7. Kansas State Wildcats
(Gray, Purple, Gray)

Like above, this is an example of a traditional uni that I wouldn’t mind seeing updated a bit.

6. TCU Horned Frogs
(White – Gray – White)

When the Frogs unveiled the “Frog Skin” combinations a year ago my first thought was, “why?”, and I can’t say I’ve changed my mind. Several teams have tried to pull off camo, but I’m not sure anyone actually has. The white, gray, white isn’t overly terrible, though.

5. Texas Longhorns
(White – White – White)

The Longhorns home kit is one of my favorites, but their away is a little, “meh”. So here they are, smack dab in the middle. Which is a little odd since I’m typically a big fan of all-whites.

4. Kansas Jayhawks
(White – White – White)

This is by far the Jayhawks best look. The all-whites do a lot to clean up a kit that is otherwise a little too busy.

3. Oklahoma Sooners
(Crimson, Crimson, White)

It’s classic, and some don’t want to continually see the same uniform high up on the list, but they are tough to beat for a reason and they provide a great benchmark.

2. Oklahoma State Cowboys
(White, Orange, White)

Oklahoma State went back to their white, orange, white combination they wore in week one, but with a new helmet. If I wasn’t left daydreaming about how this would look with a black stripe down the leg, it could easily be higher.

1. Texas Tech Red Raiders
(White – White – White)

I said last week that the only thing that could be better for Tech was their all-whites, and thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long to see them.
