Over the summer the Big 12 Conference announced that they would once again host a conference championship game. It was an easy decision considering the importance the College Football Playoff Committee has placed on having a 13th data point. Now we know where the game will take place.
It was announced today that the championship game will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

The decision to hold a championship game was made before the conference ultimately decided not to expand (much to the delight of Fox and ESPN), but tabling expansion caused a bit of awkwardness on how to hold the championship game. Split into two weird 5-team divisions, or make it a rematch between number one or number two: those were the options, and the Big 12 chose the latter.
So, starting next season, the Big 12’s top two teams will meet at Jerry’s place to decide once and for all, the Big 12’s one true champion.
