Losing four of their last six games isn’t how many Horned Frog faithful saw the 2016 season going for TCU, but with a birth to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, there is an opportunity to end the season on a good note.

TCU is 0-3 all-time against Georgia, but has yet to face the Bulldogs as a power five team as their last meeting was in 1988.

Georgia’s season hasn’t gone much better than TCU’s. The Bulldogs, like the Horned Frogs, entered the season in the Top 25, but a stretch of four losses in five games in the middle of the season knocked them from the rankings.

Georgia seemed to have things turned around down the stretch, and entered their final game of the season against instate rival Georgia Tech on a 3-game win streak which included a big win over #9 Auburn. However, things fell apart for the Bulldogs when Georgia Tech scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to steal the win with just 30 seconds left in the game.

It’s a tough loss for a team that was trying to salvage a season, and you have to question just how motivated the Bulldogs will be to face TCU.

The Frogs have their own issues to overcome, but if they can, a big win over an SEC opponent could be just what Gary Patterson’s team needs to as they turn their sights to 2017.
