The competition was fierce, but here’s the top 10 Big 12 alternate uniforms from the 2016 season!

Teams in the Big 12 wore a lot of uniforms that they don’t typically wear, also known as alternate uniforms over the course of the 2016 season. Some of them were good, and some of them were not so good, and some may be good to some that aren’t good to others. This list is subjective, and was completed based on my personal opinion of the uniforms. I’m sure you’ll have differing opinions, and I welcome you to share your list with me in the comment section or on Twitter. Uniforms are one of my favorite things about college football, and I’d love to discuss them, so don’t hesitate to hit me up.

10. BAYLOR ALL WHITE

Baylor rocked these icy all white uniforms in their matchup with Texas Tech. They’ve worn the jersey and pants combination before, but the new white helmets and the white Nike cleats make for a very solid look, and the Bears’ best on the year.

9. OKLAHOMA WHITE HELMETS

Oklahoma doesn’t frequently wear alternate uniforms, but the alternates that they do have are very nice. They have crimson and cream editions of their main alternates, and against West Virginia the Sooners rocked the cream edition. The combination of white helmet and white jersey with those crimson pants made for a beautiful combination.

8. TEXAS TECH RED HELMETS

Texas Tech rocked many looks this season, though these were the best. The chrome looked great with the red jerseys, the only thing that could’ve made these better would’ve been black pants.

7. OKLAHOMA STATE SHERIFF SERIES

Oklahoma State will be featured on this list a couple of times, and their first appearance come with these very nice home alternates. The helmets are great, the rest of the uniform is crisp, and the color scheme is very nice, making for a great look against the Pitt script uniforms.

6. IOWA STATE WHITE WITH RED

Iowa State introduced white helmets at the beginning of the year and they used them very frequently, and for good reason. They’re beautiful helmets, and while it’s not as good as some other combos they had, the red jersey, white helmet, white pants combination works very well.

5. OKLAHOMA STATE BLACK AND WHITE

Oklahoma State has a great color scheme, and these white top black bottom uniforms worked perfectly, with the orange accents really pushing them over the top.

4. IOWA STATE ALL WHITE

Iowa State had some surprisingly nice uniforms this year, and these were certainly some of them. The gold and red stripes looked great with the white helmets, jerseys, and pants.

3. OKLAHOMA STATE GRAY AND BLACK

Oklahoma State once again, this time with some beautiful black uniforms. The inclusion of white and orange on the numbers looks incredible, and that color scheme really makes the uniforms pop. I don’t love the helmets, but everything else is absolutely perfect.

2. IOWA STATE WHITE AND GRAY

Like I said, Iowa State used their new white helmets frequently, but this was the best usage. The gray pants are great, and the white jersey and helmet just adds to the gray. The stripes are sharp and look great, and this is just overall a beautiful uniform.

1. KANSAS LIMESTONE

Kansas didn’t win much this year but they win this, with their incredible limestone uniforms. The color scheme is great, the blue and red look great with the beige limestone look. Adidas tried to screw this up with odd uniform patterns, but the overall look is the best from the big 12 this year.
