The wait is finally over for Matt Rhule and Baylor as one of the biggest targets left on their board committed to Baylor late Tuesday night. Artis chose Baylor over Oregon, and Florida State. The addition of Artis didn’t change Baylor’s 247sports composite ranking, though their new composite score is 188.08.

Artis is the 25th commitment in Baylor’s 2017 class, and a player that Matt Rhule coveted as soon as he stepped on campus.
The speedy edge rushing linebacker originally committed to Florida State in August, but decommitted just a few days ago following a visit to Baylor. Many saw Oregon as the choice for the Florida native, but ultimately the ability to play early and the chance to play for Matt Rhule won out.
It’s easy to see why Baylor likes this kid so much when looking at his highlights. He has a great motor, he’s blazing fast, and he can really lay the lumber.
