After a big weekend for the Big 12’s top teams, four teams were named to the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll released on Sunday.
Oklahoma moved up to number three behind Alabama and Clemson after their unexpected (at least by most) dismantling of Ohio State. Oklahoma State rose within the top 10 to number eight. TCU was the biggest mover this week rising from unranked to number 20 after an impressive road victory at Arkansas.

I understand the coaches not moving the Sooners ahead of Clemson this week. Ohio State has not played up to their standards since the end of last season even though they have as talented a roster as anybody in the country. With that said, we will have to see how impressive Clemson’s defensive performance against Auburn was in the weeks to come.
The Big 12 is sitting strong again in the Coaches Poll with the addition of TCU to the rankings. Not only that, West Virginia received the most points of the unranked teams.
After Texas inexplicably received votes from the coaches last weekend, they did not receive any after bouncing back with a 56-0 victory over San Jose State. Yeah, I don’t know either.
