It was reported Saturday morning that touted receiver Tyron Johnson did not travel with the team to Pittsburgh this week. There was no reason given for Johnson’s absence, but it is believed to be for disciplinary reasons.
An Oklahoma State spokesperson said Gundy will address the situation after the game.
Johnson, a LSU transfer, has lived up to his hype so far this season, and has given the Cowboys yet another weapon on the outside. He has five catches for 87 yards and a touchdown through two games.
Oklahoma State features a ridiculously deep receiving corps, but the loss of Johnson for any significant amount of time would be a blow.
Backup cornerback Madre Harper also did not make the trip.
