The Red Raiders have been using their new indoor practice facility since the beginning of the season, but Texas Tech officially unveiled the $48 million addition on Friday afternoon.
“This is truly a remarkable facility,” Texas Tech athletic Kirby Hocutt said. “We could have never dreamed to build a facility like this without the vision and generosity of our most loyal donors. The Sports Performance Center will impact each of our student-athletes as it is one of the best training and competition venues in intercollegiate athletics today.”
The facility houses an indoor football practice field, an indoor track, a strength and conditioning center, a nutrition center, and enough seating to hold 1,500 fans. The new addition, along with their brand new locker room unveiled just before the season, shows that the Red Raiders are committed to athletics, and we’ve these kind of facility investments pay off across the Big 12 in recruiting before, which in turn pays off in wins on the field.
The ribbon has been cut on the nearly-completed Sports Performance Center! Take a look around.
