West Virginia quarterback Will Grier was featured on The Paul Finebaum Show on Wednesday Afternoon.
Grier, as you probably know by now, transferred to West Virginia prior to last season after starting his career at Florida. While a Gator, he impressed early as a freshman, but was benched after testing positive for PEDs. Grier maintained that he had taken an over-the-counter supplement he was encouraged to try by the nutrition store’s sales person. After sitting out last season, he was cleared to play by the NCAA prior to this season, and he has led the Mountaineers to a 5-2 start while completing 66.3 percent of his passes for 26 touchdowns to just five interceptions.
Finebaum asked him about his second chance in Morgantown and how playing in the Big 12 stacks up to playing in the SEC. Although, Grier kind of side-stepped that question. We’re guessing that was probably to save his former conference any embarrassment.
