The Red Raiders are looking to avoid their third-straight loss as they head to Norman. The Sooners are the heavy favorite behind quarterback Baker Mayfield, but can Nic Shimonek lead Texas Tech to an upset? We make our picks.

CHRIS – It was a fun ride Texas Tech, but now you’re in the meat of your schedule, and back-to-back losses have me wondering just how improved you are. Ultimately, the Sooners are just too much. Baker Mayfield loves to play with a chip on his shoulder and tortillas aren’t exactly hard to come by in Lubbock, especially for the former Red Raider quarterback.

JAY – Another close one for Oklahoma, but Texas Tech doesn’t have enough in the end.

MYERS – Oklahoma puts together a blowout win behind a rowdy crowd.

TAYLOR – I have no clue what Texas Tech is anymore at this point. I thought I had a read on them, but since the fourth quarter against West Virginia this looks like a shell of the team we saw early in the year. The Sooners win by a couple touchdowns.

JOSH – UPSET. Kliff Kingsbury gets a big win in a shootout battle of Air Raid bros.

DANIEL – Shootout, but Oklahoma has the better athletes across the board and can do something Texas Tech cannot, run the ball.

The Sooners are a heavy favorite; both in Vegas and with the staff. Big non-conference wins showed what both these teams are capable, but even though they have both taken a step back in recent weeks, Oklahoma still gets the benefit of the doubt. You all would seem to agree as Oklahoma brought home 73 percent of the Twitter vote.
