Kansas State and UCLA face off in the Cactus Bowl on Tuesday night, and Vegas favors the Wildcats by six. We agree with them as it’s a K-State sweep in the picks.

CHRIS: Kansas State
It took more than a few weeks, but we finally saw the Kansas State team we thought may contend for the Big 12. Better late than never though, and the Wildcats enter the bowl game in full stride, and are simply the better team. Take NFL-caliber quarterback Josh Rosen out of the mix for UCLA, and I like the match up that much more. Give me the Wildcats.

PATRICK: Kansas State
I’m going with Kansas State. UCLA has struggled all season even with Josh Rosen, and without him I doubt they put up much of a fight. Kansas State should have no problem running on the Bruin defense, and while UCLA is significantly more talented, I don’t think this one will be very close. Give me the Wildcats by at least 20.

JOSH: Kansas State
Especially with Rosen out, I will take Bill Snyder and the Wildcats in this one. UCLA ranks 91st in Rushing S&P+, which does not set up for a lot of success against Kansas State. It also sort of feels like the Bruins are just ready to move on to 2018 with their NFL-caliber QB leaving and Chip Kelly coming in. Kansas State with the win and the six point cover.

MYERS: Kansas State
Skylark Thompson is on a role and I don’t see him letting up against a suspect Bruin defense. The lack of Jim Mora and Josh Rosen didn’t prevent UCLA from beating Cal, but I do believe Kansas State is a tougher matchup. The well coached Wildcats will exploit the inexperience of Devon Modster and Jedd Fisch. However, I expect this game to be competitive and come down to the wire. Give me Kansas State, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see UCLA cover.

DANIEL: Kansas State
Bill Snyder might try to out do Army and never try a pass all game. UCLA has the two biggest things that sink teams in the bowl season, new head coach (who won’t keep everybody, so a distraction) and the offensive leader sitting out. Kansas State knows who they are, and will pound the ball with QB runs until UCLA whimpers and raises the white flag.
