The Sooners are currently up 21-7 over the UCLA Bruins, but they may be without one of their offensive stars for the rest of the game. Rodney Anderson came up holding his knee on 10-yard run in the second quarter of the game.
Anderson was immediately taken back to the locker room, but the extent of the injury is not known just yet. We will update this post as more information becomes available. Hopefully it’s not serious, and he can return to the game.
Anderson was an All-Big 12 Preseason Team selection, and racked up 100 yards last week against FAU on just five carries.
Here’s a look at when he went down.
UPDATE: It looks like Anderson will not be returning to the game. He did not come out with the team for the second half.
UPDATE 2: Anderson is on the bench in street clothes with a large brace on his leg. Signs aren’t good.\
UPDATE 3: Reports are that Anderson is done for the season.
