We took a week off last week ( I thought Iowa State could use a breather from being told they have bad uniforms) but we are back! It’s time to take a look at what all 10 Big 12 squads were rocking on the field this past weekend.
White-White-White always looks good, and this was no exception. It’s a great combo and one the Cowboys pulled off perfectly. Still don’t love the paisley stripe on the helmet. 4.75 stars.
Speaking of all white, I underrated this look for Texas the last time. It is just so damn classic. There are some schools that never need “alternates.” The Longhorns are one of them. 4.75 stars
I gotta be honest, I really like the Gold-White-Gold (Gold Rush I believe?) look and while I don’t usually like colored shoulder pads, the navy shoulders on the white jerseys look good. This is a solid road look and definitely one of my favorites in the Big 12. 4 stars
Another home game. Another appearance in Silver-Purple-Silver. Another 4 Stars
This was my favorite Iowa State look so far. The chrome red helmets were fantastic. Unfortunately the white jerseys still look like napkins with ketchup and mustard on them. The white pants are nice. 3.75 Stars
The all blue looked really good in contrast to Oklahoma State’s all-white. But it’s still not as good as other combos they have. Still love those helmets. 3.75 Stars
The Green-White-Green would be great, if not for those ugly piss-yellow shoulder pads again. Get. Rid. Of. Those. Otherwise, love the green helmets. They’re a solid look. 3.5 Stars
Those bring the wood jerseys are terrible. At least the pants and helmet are now the same color. OU doesn’t need alternates. 3.0 Stars
Helmet; not great. Pants; nice. Jersey; awful. The purple cammo has GOT to GO. 2.5 Stars
Tri-color is never easy to pull off. It either works or fails miserably. In this case, it was the later. 1 Star
