Last week, Baylor coach Matt Rhule was in the Dallas area for Big 12 media days before heading to Houston for the Texas High School Football Coaches Association coaching school. However, before he could make it there, someone made off with his truck.
It cannot be a good feeling to discover that your Chevy Silverado 2500 Texas Edition is no longer where you left it.
“In those moments, you feel powerless. That’s why I sent out that tweet, to take control of the situation a little bit.”– Matt Rhule told Texas Football
Coach Rhule did not let that slow him down, though. He made it to Houston and was able to pose for pictures with some Baylor alumni at a Baylor dinner.
Baylor hopes to make an impact on young coaches this week in Houston before gearing up for fall camp. Baylor will open fall camp on August 2nd and prepare for opening game against Stephen F. Austin on August 31st.
Oh, and he has plans on replacing that truck.
“I’ve always wanted to get a Harley. My wife has always said no. I think this is God stepping in and saying that it’s time.”– Matt Rhule told Texas Football
