Memphis at Kansas

Date: Saturday, September 12th
Where: Lawrence, KS

Well, at least it’s not a FCS opponent, but honestly some FCS schools will be better than Kansas, so…

The Jayhawks, where do you start? Kansas has taken up residence in the Big 12 basement ever since Mark Mangino got kicked to the curb, however this season, this season is another level of bleak.

There is hope for first-year head coach David Beaty and the Jayhawks though. They only need to look across the field for inspiration. Just a few years ago Memphis was one of the worst teams in all of football, and now they’re laying claim to AAC.

The Tigers’ up-tempo offense should be clicking with seven returning starters, including QB Paxton Lynch. There’s some questions on defense, and about the only thing Kansas has going for them is a decent stable of running backs, but it won’t be enough. Jayhawks remain winless.

Winner: Memphis
