Ranking Big 12 Uniforms In Week 4

Who wore it better in week four? Let’s find out!

Just six teams were in action in week four, and ranking the uniforms wasn’t easy. Well, except for last place. Last place was pretty easy to rank. Seriously, what were you thinking, Baylor?

6. Baylor Bears
(Gold – Black – Black)

Wearing black when it isn’t your school color is one thing. Wearing it when it is your opponent’s color is another. Sorry Baylor, but you cannot be awarded for that. At some point, you have to put pride over style.

5. Kansas State Wildcats
(Gray – Purple – Gray)

I’m on record as saying the Wildcats traditional home kit is a little meh, and surprise, surprise, I still believe that. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate them, and they look dang good below. Plus there is something to be said for the traditional uni. However, compared to some of the other traditional unis around the conference, they just don’t do it for me.

4. Iowa State Cyclones
(Cardinal – Gray – Gray)

Good for you Iowa State, at least you tried. For that effort, I bumped you over Kansas State. I’m not 100% the gray is working, but it is better than what some other schools have done with it. I can’t quite place my finger on it, but something is just a little bit off, which kept them for contending for the number 1 spot this week.

3. TCU Horned Frogs
(White – White – White)

These next three are all very close, and I actually rearranged them a few times before settling on this ranking. I’m having to nitpick here, but the frog skin, as little of it as there is, put TCU at number three. Still, it is a very clean look. I really like the simplicity of it.

2. West Virginia Mountaineers
(Blue – Gold – Blue)

It’s hard not to like the blue and gold. They balance each other very well, and the Mountaineers haven’t tried to overcomplicate it. In the end, there are a couple of combinations I like a little¬†more from WVU, but a very strong look nonetheless.

1. Oklahoma State Cowboys
(White – White – White)

This is the first time we’ve seen the Cowboys new white jerseys, and they didn’t disappoint. Going from orange to black numbering was a good choice, and the Icy White Pete helmets, while not my favorite, work with the combination.
