Which Big 12 Players Were Invited To The NFL Combine?

The NFL has officially released its list of those former college football players who all have a chance to improve their stock by attending the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins in less than two weeks. Going to the Combine does not automatically mean that a player will be drafted, but a majority of those attending the annual evaluation of prospects do hear their name called on Draft Day.

Below is a run down of the players from Big 12 schools who received an invitation, along with the number of prospects invited in parentheses. TCU, which has two players leaving college early for the pro ranks, had the most invitees. The team with the fewest is Kansas State, which is the only Big 12 squad to not have any players asked to participate in the Combine. That does come as somewhat of a surprise, especially since offensive lineman Scott Frantz is thought by some to be a possible late round pick in April.

For those will be at the Combine, this is an opportunity to shine as well as to see one’s stock drop. Many of those projected to go in the first round – like Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb – can really only hurt themselves with a poor showing, and can’t move much further up with a good performance. It will be interesting to see who can make the most of this process when the NFL Combine begins on February 23rd.

A full list of those invited can be found here.
